People with guns kill people. Most people with guns never imagine they ever will but many do.
People with guns can end up killing themselves, family or people they know when they are angry, sad, scared, unstable, drunk or drugged up.
People with guns get them stolen and or used against them or in other crimes and murders.
People with guns have them found by children who, even with gun education and stern warnings, don’t always make the best decisions and kill themselves or their siblings or friends.
People with guns have “accidents” and spray their hunting partners in the face with buckshot or shoot themselves in the leg at nightclubs.
People with guns are often people who should not have guns. People with guns who think they are not that type of person could very well be the type of person who should not have a gun. All it takes is one loose cabinet lock, one extra drink, one cheating wife, one boss firing you, one psychotic break, one moment of fear or absolute depression and you or someone you know is suddenly a person with a gun that killed someone.
Not even touching whether it should be a right to have any type of gun we want whenever we want one, can’t we all just agree that gun ownership is something we need to talk about putting some serious limits on?
