I know it’s a little early and random for this, but I was farting around this morning thinking about reincarnation and heaven and all that stuff that kind of sounds kind of nice but uses metaphors that don’t really sit with me, when I got this image of fish flopping out of a stream. I think that’s what consciousness is, just a trout with an super-sized brain experiences when it leaps out of the universal waterways. And it’s pretty crazy rainbow psychedelic out here in the air, but in the midst of all the thrashing and flying and insect munching we forget where we came from and that we get to rejoin an amazing ecosystem of other creatures that may have also had their moment in the sun. And who knows, maybe we get to leap out again a little further down the river.
